Hey Friends,
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar officially kicks off tomorrow morning. This tournament has been in the works for over a decade, upending a small (but wealthy) nation and exposing the moral compass of global soccer’s governing body.
There are billions of dollars being spent. There is bribery, corruption, and glaring human rights issues, and Qatar’s involvement with the world’s biggest sporting event has been picked apart by law enforcement agencies and the international media.
Total World Cup Spending By Host Country
Qatar (2022): $220 billion
Brazil (2014): $15 billion
Russia (2018): $12 billion
S. Korea & Japan (2002): $7 billion
Germany (2006): $5 billion
So my team and I have been working on a special project over the last several weeks, and I believe we have created the most comprehensive guide you will find on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
For example, how did Qatar win the World Cup? Why are human rights activists so upset? Where are fans staying? What is so unique about the stadiums? Why is it being held in November? How much money is Qatar spending? And who are the sponsors?
These are all great questions, and this week’s video covers each of them. So check it out, share the video with your friends, let us know what you think, and good luck to whichever country you support.

Great video. Thanks for sharing it.
The Germany World Cup was way better than any on that last, and I was there. The That was the last time there's been a decent tournament. I have complete apathy for this World Cup.
